About Me

For a more formal introduction, my name is James Taylor, and I am the creator and subject matter of this digital portfolio. I graduated from High School in 2012, receiving a OP of 6 having studied a diverse range of subjects. After a year off, mostly spent on hobbies and part-time work in a Deli, I commenced my studies of a Bachelor of Business in early 2013.
I have designed this digital portfolio to:

Career Objectives

My initial passion was engineering but I discovered a deeper interest in business so I decided to make the switch in 2013. Assisted by my studies of business I wish to start gaining experience in the business working environment, before I graduate with a Bachelor and enter the workplace. I have currently chosen to study two majors in my Bachelor of Business, Information Systems and Accounting.
After I graduate, I would like to either, consider the prospect of furthering my studies in business and information technology, starting my own business, or start my employed career in the Business Information Systems industry. As an employee in the IT industry, I wish to experience work as a business analyst and throughout my career work up to management. Once at management level I will if necessary I plan to complete a Masters Degree to further my career growth yet again.

History, Hobbies and Interests

My hobbies and interests include; training, volunteering for surf patrol duty and completing new proficiencies at my local Surf Life Saving Club. I have also developed a growing interest in design, and in my spare time have been drawing, practising and experimenting with different kinds of design, and photo editing and manipulation.
In my past I also had heavy involvement and participation with the Leo Club (Junior Lions Club). I also grew up playing a lot of sport, taking on AFL Sports Excellence in High School until my senior years, and also played AFL with the Palm Beach Lions for five years, making it to the finals four times, on to the grand final three times, winning one of them.
In addition to this, when I was younger I spent twelve months travelling around Australia. On this trip I studied via Distance Education, while exploring the country, experiencing the differences in the diverse cultures which Australia has to offer and met new people. As a young student, this trip helped to develop my perspective on career paths and interests, thus setting my up for my studies.
